A Bittersweet Day

On Thursday, February 16th 2012 Conner James was released from Wolfson's Children's Hospital in Jacksonville, FL to travel across the state line to his home in GA. It was a bitter sweet day as we were bringing home Conner but Chase isn't quite ready to make the trip home yet.

Surprise V-Day Present

I just got off the phone with the nicu, and Conner James will be coming home this Thursday February 16th. I have tons of pictures to posts but I now find myself in a whirl wind trying to get ready. Please say a prayer for Michael and I as we go through training courses tomorrow. Also please pray for Chase, as his brother who has always been by his side heads home to clear the path for Chase's soon to be homecoming as well.

We've Moved!

This past week has brought new adventures for the boys. We have now moved to the step down unit or what is commonly referred to as the "eat and grow" unit. Both boys are staying put on the oxygen settings, and the doctor said right now the best thing is to let them grow and get stronger and hopefully their lungs will get stronger if not in a couple weeks we will reevaluate their lungs. Since both boys are still on the oxygen they can't be at the same bed side yet, but are in adjacent spots with a cute little girl sharing a bed space with Chase. Both boys have gone up in their feeds, Conner is getting 42ml every 3 hours and Chase is getting 40ml. Michael and I have been able to be more involved and hold the boys almost everyday....sometimes they look to cute to disturb :) Saturday, I bathed Chase while Michel held Conner and then we switched. Chase truly enjoyed his bath and stared at me the whole time....Conner is a completely different story. Conner screamed the WHOLE time I was bathing him and showed his true feelings by peeing on me.

Here's this week's pictures....enjoy :)
